These Polyurethane Hydrocyclones are used for segregating fines. The principle of separation is by rotating the mixture by vertex flow by getting the heavy particles as rejects at the bottom and fines exit at the overflow side through a tube extending slightly into the body of the cyclone at the center.
Kreb Cyclones, being huge in nature, the walls are lined with PU to protect from high abrasion exerted due to the cyclonic force of the mixture.
In semi-liquid separations, by density like in paper industries these are called Stand-On cyclones. These cyclone bodies are fully made in Polyurethane.
